Outreach is the largest annual community service event organized by Tulane students in New Orleans, involving thousands of volunteers led by university students, staff, faculty and alumni in a variety of day-long projects around the various neighborhoods of New Orleans.
Through these partnerships volunteers make a commitment to a top-notch education in New Orleans. Volunteer activities include Rally for New Orleans Schools, a one-day event that transform school buildings (painting, landscaping, repairs, etc.).
This program builds active citizenship through facilitated intensive community service experiences around the country during Spring Break and other times when classes are not in session. It also offers a number of intensive cross-cultural community service experiences that have focused on homelessness and poverty, wetlands and coastal restoration, and Appalachian culture in Atlanta, Florida and West Virginia.
